Powerful waters

The papallacta hot springs are an eden in the midst of the andean highlands. The ecuadorian amazon also guards a secret holy grail called laguna azul.

Since ancient times, water has been a key element of healing, of purification, of energy ... Ecuador, and its remarkable geography, is home to magical places where water plays the main role. For the Andean world, in general, life emerges out of water and earth, elements that are present in all traditional celebrations of indigenous peoples and nationalities of Ecuador. This mysticism is behind the growth of healing tourism, in which people go in search of a spring that offers a cure for disease, and for many, longevity and energy.

Energy and powerful waters

Do you want a cleansing to receive an infusion of courage, resistance and strength? We invite you to visit the sacred waterfall of Peguche, located five minutes away from the town of Otavalo, and in the midst of the Protective Forest of the same name. It is impossible not to marvel at the formidable falling water. While some prefer to contemplate how life pours out over the IS-meter high cascade, others - a little braver and full of faith - take off their clothes and plunge into the frigid water, that has traveled from the slopes of the Imbabura volcano.

Sensations from all sides

These powerful cold waters are not the only ones that promise healing. Among the rocky volcanic soil, we can find bubbling springs of hot water, arising from the center of the Earth, next to the magma that rests beneath the heart of the mountain: a gift from nature to humanity. The Papallacta hot springs are an Eden in the midst of the Andean highlands. Located only 60 kilometers outside of the city of Quito, they boast one of the largest reserves of thermal waters in the country.

Yaku, the spirit of the jungle

The Ecuadorian Amazon also guards a secret holy grail. On the banks of the Jatunyacu River (Tena), within the Llanganates National Park, there are some hidden magic natural pools called Laguna Azul. Hundreds of tourists make the pilgrimage here each year to enjoy the waterslides formed by the river current, which flows among gigantic, millennia-old rocks, which were brought here by an eruption of the Cotopaxi Volcano.
