Juan Montalvo tourism

  • To the north it borders the La Concepción parish,
  • To the east with the urban parish of Mira,
  • To the south with the parish of Salinas of the canton Ibarra, province of Imbabura, and
  • To the west with the Carolina parish, also of the Ibarra canton.

Creation of the Juan Montalvo Parish

  • Initially it takes the name of “San Ignacio de Quil”, which became a parish by municipal ordinance of 20 July 1940, it is called Juan Montalvo in honor of the illustrious writer, but it existed as a civil parish since January 9, 1941
