Carolina Station

Learn about the La Carolina station and the tourist attractions that surround it.

What should you know?

  • La Carolina Station is located next to the renowned park that bears his name, that is, it is located between Av. Eloy Alfaro and Av. República.
  • This is station number 12 of the Metro, which has the capacity to receive up to 108 thousand users, when Line One of the Quito Metro comes into operation.

La Carolina Park is a neuralgic point in the hypercenter of the city. To serve the public, the little one will have two stations: Estación Iñaquito, on the boulevard of av. Naciones Unidas and Calle Japón, and Estación Carolina, at the intersection of Eloy Alfaro and República avenues.

Thus, these 'Metro Zones' are delivered for the use of citizens, with better characteristics than those that existed before the Metro intervention. La Carolina park is one of the most important green spaces in the capital and, before the pandemic, received an average of 200,000 people every weekend.
